En Shell Mold Casting, el molde es un caparaz\u00f3n de paredes delgadas que se crea aplicando una mezcla de arena y pasas alrededor del patr\u00f3n. El patr\u00f3n es una pieza de metal con la forma de la pieza a moldear.
