Stainless Steel Pipe fittings can be manufactured either by casting or by forging. The tooling cost for forging is very high. Hence to be more cost effective, casting is preferred when the quantity is small to medium. Stainless steel casting could be used to produce different types of pipe fittings in small runs.

The cast stainless steel pipe fittings need to be further machined for threads in order to screw the pipe fittings to another piece. This process is also done in-house.
